Calais – The Jungle

Documentary coverage of the refugee and immigrant encampment on the outskirts of Calais, France — a makeshift settlement that existed from January 2015 until its demolition in October 2016. At its peak the camp housed nearly 10,000 people attempting to cross into the United Kingdom. The work focuses on daily life, community, and dignity inside the camp during the European migration crisis.

An estimated 1 in 1,400 people in Tanzania and East Africa has albinism — one of the highest rates in the world. People with albinism in the region face severe social stigma and, in some areas, targeted violence driven by the belief that their body parts carry magical properties. This project documents the lives, challenges, and resilience of individuals with albinism in Tanzania. The Washington Post

A portrait of Calitri, a small hilltop town in the Campanian Apennines, and its people — a community shaped by emigration, seismic memory (the town was heavily damaged in the 1980 Irpinia earthquake), and a stubborn attachment to place.

Taranto, una città normale

Taranto, Puglia, Italy

Part of the Underground project. Taranto is home to one of Europe's largest steel plants — ILVA — and has been at the centre of a decades-long conflict between industrial employment and severe environmental contamination. This work looks at how the city's young people navigate that contradiction: building lives, culture, and resistance in a place the rest of Italy largely watches from a distance.
